Words and Coffee
Hey beautiful people. I hope your weekend has been going well. Today has been a relaxing day for me (thank goodness!). I stayed up until three am last night with one of my friends watching The Flash. My little brother introduced me to the show and I've been obsessed with it ever since! It's incredible. Not to mention, Grant Gustin is good-looking and The Flash is an amazing superhero.
I've spent most of my day watching the show, studying for finals, and trying to put together an outfit for tomorrow. Tomorrow's one of my childhood friend's birthday party and I still don't know what to wear at this point. I have a few outfits in mind, but I'm still not sure what I want to wear. Guess I'll see how I feel tomorrow.
When I was taking a break, I was looking through my tumblr page and was noticing a lot of coffee pictures, which made me crave coffee. Honestly, I usually like my coffee black. I don't usually like it with cream/milk or sugar, but I decided I wanted try my hand at latte art.
It took me several times to steam the milk and get enough foam but I tried my best. I ended up making a heart.
Once I prepared my coffee, I decided to snack on a few wafer sticks and get some writing done. I've been reading a lot of poems by Mr. Edward Allan Poe lately and I'm currently obsessed with his words right now.
There's just something about words that entices me. How powerful words can be. How they can instantly affect someone. How words can make up a conversation, a song, a book. How a few words can make us or break us. And even...how no words at all, can "say" just as much.
On Thursday, I went to one of my favorite coffee shops by my house to do some work. Once I finished with my work I pulled out my journal and began writing in it… an hour later, I had no tea left to drink and a sore hand. That being said, I took my coffee (with my very own failed latte art) and I end up turning to my journal to write my thoughts down. Now, I'm relaxed and soothed.
That's it for today! I hope you all have a good, relaxing weekend.
