Third Time's the Charm

Hey everyone!

AHHHHHHHHHH! I've finally finished my third year of college! Now it's time to enjoy my summer vacation. On Thursday, I had my last final for my advertising class. I really liked that class. It's so fun being able to work with groups of people in a class where we are allowed to express, enhance, and challenge our creativity. For our final, we had to present our campaign. It was fun being able to show what my group put together and see what other groups had in their portfolio.

I can't believe that I'm officially done with my third year of college. I feel like it was just yesterday that I started as a freshman in college. Now, I'm on my last summer break before my last year.

This past school year has been a difficult year. While trying to juggle my classes, work, and internships, it's been a struggle. I'm so thankful for all my family and friends who've supported me and reminded me that the hard work I'm putting in now will pay off. There's so many times I wanted to just give up and take a quarter off but that would put off my graduating year. Now, I'm officially on track to graduate next year. Color me excited!

Tomorrow,  Sunday, June 14, many of my fellow COMM friends will be walking/graduating. I want to give a BIG shoutout to all my fellow COMM friends who will be graduating tomorrow. I'm so proud of all of you! They've accomplished so much and I can't wait to see what life has in store for every single one of them. That being said, I'm excited to go through this summer and start my last year as an undergrad! WHOOOOO!

I had a change of plans for my summer vacation. I intentionally had something planned, but "life happened," and it is no longer going to happen. That being said, I have a few things that I'm planning for my blog throughout this summer. So stay tuned! I plan on publishing a public post next week explaining all that happen and all that I plan to happen. But for now, I'm going to relax. HELLO SUMMER VACATION!

I can't wait to publish my posts next week and share with you what I have planned. I've always loved the thought of summer- the few months I get to myself. Here's a quote from one of my favorite books, by one of my favorite authors, Sarah Dessen.

To me, summer has always been about potential. This was especially true when I was in high school. Those 3 or so months between 1 school year and the next always meant change. People got taller or wider or smaller. They broke up or came together, lost friends or gained them, had life experiences that you could tell had transformed them even if you didn’t know what they were. In the summer, the days were long, stretching into each other. Out of school, everything was on pause and yet happening at the same time, this collection of weeks when anything was possible. As a teenager, I was always hoping to change, to become someone other than who I was. Each summer, I felt I had the chance to do that. All I had to do was wait and see what happened.
